Role: 2D Director
For the finale of Pink Laces’ Can We Rise, I directed a one-minute 2D hand-drawn animated sequence in which the protagonist unravels the logic of intergalactic travel through a series of equations. The piece was designed to bring a distinct visual climax to the music video.
Challenge
The sequence had to be produced within a three-week schedule while maintaining consistency, clarity, and a strong hand-drawn feel. It also marked my first experience assembling and leading a freelance animation team under tight production constraints.
My Contribution
I led the 2D animation unit while also contributing to character design and overseeing animation, clean-up, and compositing. The focus was on delivering a cohesive sequence that felt technically solid, visually distinctive, and fully integrated into the larger music video.
