I Like You, You’re Weird was a short-form animated mini-series created to support the launch and identity of the Weirdos collection by Amber Park and Mason Rothschild. The series translated the project’s playful, community-driven spirit into social-first animated episodes.
Challenge
Each episode had to introduce characters, establish tone, and tell a clear story within a 15–30 second format. The project also required turning a visually unconventional universe into something cohesive, engaging, and easy to connect with.
My Contribution
I directed the series from written concepts into storyboards, animatics, and final production, helping define the tone, rhythm, and visual consistency across 10 episodes. I also coordinated a specialized team across design, animation, ink & paint, and compositing to keep the series aligned and ready for social release.
Approach
The focus was on clarity, pacing, and strong visual identity within a very short runtime. We used a bold color palette, stylized character work, and tight episode structure to make the world feel distinctive while keeping each piece readable and entertaining.
