I Like You, You’re Weird was a series of short animated episodes created around the launch of Weirdos, the collection by Amber Park and Mason Rothschild.
The idea was to take the weird, playful energy of the project and turn it into little stories made to live on social.
Each episode had just 15–30 seconds to introduce the characters, land the tone and tell a story that actually went somewhere.
A big part of the job was taking this strange, very specific visual world and making it feel consistent without sanding off the weirdness that made it fun in the first place.
I directed the series from the first written ideas through storyboards, animatics and final production, helping shape the tone, pacing and overall look across all 10 episodes.
I also coordinated the team across design, animation, ink & paint and compositing, making sure everything stayed consistent and ready to roll out on social.
With such short runtimes, everything had to land fast: the character, the joke, the rhythm and the look.
We leaned into bold color, stylized animation and simple episode structures to keep the world feeling weird and distinctive without losing clarity.
