Role: 2D Director
La Invitación is a 2D hand-drawn music video inspired by anime aesthetics, following a woman in a futuristic megacity on a journey of self-discovery. The project brought together a distributed team of 40+ artists across Latin America.
Challenge
The production required aligning a large multidisciplinary team while managing feedback from the agency, label, and artist. The main challenge was maintaining visual cohesion, production efficiency, and delivery quality at scale.
My contribution
I oversaw the project across art, animation, ink & paint, and compositing, working closely with area leads and supervisors to keep the production aligned with the creative vision. I also helped structure communication and feedback flows to support a smoother decision-making process throughout the project.
Approach
We designed scenes from the animatic stage to maximize visual impact while remaining efficient to produce. Structured workflows and delegated oversight helped the team move faster, solve production challenges, and maintain consistency across the pipeline.
Impact
The video surpassed 40 million views, reached YouTube trending, and helped amplify Kenia Os’s visibility at a key moment in her growth as an artist. It also demonstrated the scale and effectiveness of a coordinated Latin American animation team.
