​​​​​​​Spotify's "Today's Top Hits" playlist is known for showcasing the hottest music tracks, and in 2023, the brand aimed to expand its reach by launching a dedicated Instagram account. The challenge was to create visually striking content that could connect with a wider audience beyond the Spotify platform, reflecting the vibrant energy of the playlist. I was invited by my friends at Tunjayork and Dreambear to help bring the visual universes of some of the biggest artists of the moment to life, focusing on two iconic albums:
Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti"
Miley Cyrus' "Endless Summer Vacation"
To capture the essence of Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti," we immersed ourselves in the album's artwork, characterized by a warm Puerto Rican sunset, the artist's signature sad heart, and his love for wrestling. Each of these elements was carefully woven into dynamic animations that visually represented a journey into the artist's mind.

Leading a small team of talented experts, I took on the roles of art and animation direction, ensuring that every detail aligned with the visual identity of the album. Collaboration was key, both with my team and the creative minds at Tunjayork and Dreambear, to strike the right balance between the artist's signature style and the aesthetic needs of Spotify's brand.
The project faced challenges, particularly in translating complex visual themes into short-form animations that were engaging yet true to the artist’s vision. Through iterative feedback and close communication with the client, we overcame these obstacles, making adjustments and refining animations until we reached a seamless final product.
The final animations resonated strongly with viewers, garnering millions of views on Instagram and significantly boosting brand awareness for Spotify's "Today's Top Hits" playlist. The successful launch of the Instagram account allowed Spotify to connect with a broader audience and enhance its visual presence in the music streaming landscape.​​​​​​​
